Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with members of the Working Group for Drafting the Media Strategy and representatives of media and journalism associations.
The meeting looked at the comments and suggestions to the draft made by European Commission expert from Brussels Francesco Shakitano, after the Working Group had agreed on the outstanding issues in that document.
In the comments made by the EC expert, it is emphasised that the Working Group accepted the important recommendations that had been submitted earlier and which significantly improve the quality of the draft media strategy.
The draft media strategy, in accordance with the procedure, will be submitted to the competent ministries, after which it will be adopted by the Serbian government.
Brnabic underlined that the members of the Working Group will be made familiar with all the opinions of the competent ministries, in order to make the process fully transparent and inclusive until the end.
At today's meeting, members of the Media Coalition submitted to the Prime Minister a list of requests aimed at improving the media scene in Serbia overall.
The meeting was attended by Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Andrea Orizio, with associates and representatives of the EU Delegation to Serbia, partners who cooperate in the process of the drafting of the Media Strategy.
