The Prime Minister will represent Serbia at the swearing-in ceremony and the transfer of power to the newly elected President of the Republic of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez.
During her stay in Buenos Aires, Brnabic will award the Gold Medal of Merit to Susana Ruiz Cerutti, the first woman in Argentina's history to become foreign minister.
During her diplomatic career, she led the Argentine delegation during a public hearing before the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the issue of the Republic of Serbia, whether Kosovo's independence was declared unilaterally in accordance with international law.
Her statement on the illegality and illegitimacy of Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence has attracted a lot of attention and was assessed as brilliant in legal terms, for which the Serbian delegation then publicly thanked Argentina.
