The health centres in Secanj and Zitiste, and the Cetinje general hospital will receive medical equipment worth $234,000, consisting of an ambulance, an ECG apparatus, a sterilizer, an ultrasound, and operating room equipment.
Tanabe pointed out, while expressing the hope that this donation will strengthen the friendly ties of the two countries, that the Japanese government strives to improve the medical protection system in Serbia-Montenegro and to provide support to central Banat, which was recently stricken by floods.
The Japanese government has allocated $14 million for the Serbia-Montenegrin health sector to date.
