Concrete results of strengthening partnership between Serbia, China

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said after the visit to Shanghai that she expects more Chinese investment in Serbia, especially in the areas of innovation, technology, research and development, all of which will bring us rapid development and competitive advantage in future.

Brnabic said in a statement to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) last night that, on the other hand, she expects even greater and more dynamic growth of exports of our products.

I expect much more exports to the Chinese market in the future, the Prime Minister said and added that the visit to the EXPO International Trade Fair in Shanghai was excellent, with very good meetings and concrete results.

We sent two important messages. One message is a message of cooperation, partnership, steel friendship between Serbia and China, partnership and friendship in which we will invest additional energy, additional time, additional resources in the future, because it is in the interest of our country and our citizens, the Prime Minister stressed.

Brnabic said that the first modern Data Centre is being built in Kragujevac, which will be the state centre for storing data, data of citizens, which is extremely important for the security and further development of electronic administration.

On the other hand, she explained, a large part of the data centre will be for commercial use, therefore, for companies that will come and store their data in Serbia.

According to Brnabic, this is extremely important not only for business reasons, but also for political reasons, that is, for positioning our country as a safe location, a stable country, a predictable partner.

We invited Huawei to use part of that data centre to be their data centre for Southeastern Europe, said Brnabic.
