Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today in Shanghai with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to discuss bilateral, economic and political relations, as well as Serbia-China cooperation under the Belt and Road Mechanism.
Brnabic expressed gratitude to the Chinese President for Beijing's principled support for Serbia's territorial integrity.
Xi Jinping promised to visit Serbia next year and, as he pointed out, his friend Aleksandar Vucic.
She told reporters that this meeting is another confirmation of excellent political relations between the two countries, which share a vision of a world that is open and free for the movement of people, goods, services and capital, a world free of barriers, protectionism and trade wars.
We spoke about Serbia supporting the One China policy and that China will continue to support our country internationally regarding Kosovo-Metohija, Brnabic underlined.
She said that they also discussed infrastructure projects that have been completed by Serbia and China, and those that are underway or planned, as well as an increasing number of Chinese investments in Serbia.
One of the topics was the operation of Smederevo Steelworks since Xi Jinping, along with the Serbian leadership, brought Hbis to Serbia, Brnabic said, and recalled that another important investments in our country is Chinese tire factory Linglong, located in Zrenjanin.
