The “Silver Tower” for exceptional achievement was given to Norwegian director Axel Hennie for his film “Uno”.
The “Copper Tower” for the European discovery, went to the film “Adam and Paul” directed by Irishman Lenny Abrahamson.
The special award for the original approach to role distribution was given to Bjorn Runge from Sweden for his film “Daybreak”.
The audience in Palic has seen twelve films since July 17, and the festival will officially close tonight after the awards are given to the winners.
The jury members were Hungarian director Peter Meszaros, Macedonian actress Labina Mitevska, Serbian director Miroslav Lekic and composer Kornelije Kovac.
Within the programme entitled “Parallels and Collisions”, Hungarian film “Dealer” took the first position and Slovenian film “The Suburb” directed by Vinko Moederndorfer got special acknowledgement, said the international review jury.
There were eight films in this programme, and the audience chose “Stolen Eyes” from Bulgaria for the best within the programme, said Radoslava Spasova.
Festival director Radoslav Zelenovic and executive director Blazo Perovic said the festival was realised as planned, and the programme was attended by approximately 10,000 people.
