Dimitrijevic said at the press conference that the specific features of Serbia, displayed in the book, should be integrated in the tourist brand, image and in the international position of Serbia.
He stated that the specific position of Serbia, on the border of two cultures and with two divided churches, is displayed on 500 pages. Special attention is given to the Islamic and Jewish heritage in Serbia and in this manner special emphasis is placed on Serbia’s multi-nationalism and multiculturalism.
The minister recalled that better representation in the world also means more investments, less political risks and better credits.
The editor-in-chief of Bonart Press Miso Vujovic said that the “White Angel’ is printed both in Serbian and English, and that it represents a guide through Serbian culture that surpasses the classical concept of a tourist guidebook.
He stated that Serbia could become a European tourist ‘brand’ because of Vinca, Lepenski Vir, Sirmium, Naisus, the monasteries of the Nemanjic dynasty, the Belgrade and Novi Sad fortresses, the Battle of Kosovo, Dusan’s Law Code and many other things.
The book contains colour photographs, it is printed on fine paper, and it will cost 1,500 dinars.
