New investments in Guca, Lucani

Guca/Lucani, 24 July 2019

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced today that the government will allocate more than RSD 400 million for the municipality of Lucani by the end of the year.

Brnabic, who today visited Guca, which was recently flooded again, as well as the municipality of Lucani, previously flooded several times, said that more than RSD 250 million will be intended for remediation of damage, watercourse regulation and construction ramparts and embankments.

New investments are just a continuation of the work that started in 2014, with less flooded areas, she said.

We finished the road Stanici-Bugarcici-Belica in Guca, which was flooded, the Prime Minister pointed out.

According to Brnabic, RSD 9 million has been paid to families that are endangered by floods.

Brnabic visited the "Maksimil" bakery in the village of Krstac, which was flooded during the flooding of the river in that town.

This is certainly the third or fourth time in the last few years that this bakery has been flooded. By the end of August we will pay a total of RSD 50 million to help families, the Prime Minister announced.

Brnabic announced that the entire settlement in the municipality of Lucani will be protected by a dam whose construction will start in mid-August, while the entire work will be completed by the end of the year.

After the visit of Guca and Lucani, Brnabic visited the municipality of Pozega.
