These works are carried out within the capital project "Development of ICT infrastructure in institutions of education, science and culture - "Linked Schools".
Brnabic emphasised that the government of Serbia started to reform the educational system in order to prepare young people for all the digital skills of the 21st century, but also to enable the country's economic system to respond to the challenges of the digital era, while young people trained for future affairs.
This is the way we invest in the future. We are modernising administrative procedures in schools, in order to save time for people working with children, teachers, so that they can devote themselves to pupils, explained the Prime Minister.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic pointed out that the total value of the project is RSD 4.116 billion.
She specified that works are being carried out at this moment or brought to an end in 57 schools, while preparatory actions have been completed for about 300 schools.
The project, implemented by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, officially began on 24 June.
