On that occasion, Brnabic once again congratulated Serbian female basketball players on everything they have done.
This was not easy, we know how much effort and work there is behind a single medal. Thank you for the joy that you brought to the whole nation and for making us proud because we have such a team, she said, adding that we can all learn from our great female basketball players.
You are an example of how to believe in yourself, in team members, how to fight and continue bravely despite difficulties. The Serbian government will be there for everything, for infrastructure, for rewards, because you all deserve it, the Prime Minister pointed out.
Mihajlovic, who was Vice President of the Organising committee of the championship, said that the winning team is composed of the female basketball players, the Basketball Association of Serbia and the Government of Serbia, adding that the female basketball players should be a model for all girls and that behind them there is huge work and faith in themselves and in the team.
Udovicic thanked the female basketball players once more and said that we should all work together to have as many clubs and basketball players as possible in Serbia.
We have once again proved that Serbia can be the organiser of top-notch competitions, and that Zrenjanin, Nis and Belgrade can compare to the European and world metropolises, that we can be great hosts, which all foreign leaders and tourists who have been here say, the Minister said.
Marina Maljkovic, the coach of the women's basketball team of Serbia, said that she is proud of working as a coach in a country that invests in sports, in women's sport.
