Serbia to present great results in Poznan

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic today announced that our country is again going to a regional summit this year under the Berlin initiative with good and concrete results on regional integration and cooperation, despite the constant provocations of Pristina.

Brnabic said in a statement to the Tanjug agency on the eve of her departure to Poznan, where she will take part in the Western Balkans Summit tomorrow within the framework of the Berlin Process, that she goes with self-confidence because Serbia has done its best again and has concrete results, despite the fact that since the last meeting there have been many more obstacles to regional integration and cooperation.

These obstacles are bigger and bigger provocations of Pristina, the behaviour that affects regional security, cooperation and networking, the 100 percent tariffs on goods from Central Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina that were introduced in November last year, as well as a number of other moves that Pristina pulls more and more often.

She said that at tomorrow’s meeting she will present three great results that our country has achieved.

Brnabic referred to the Regional Roaming Agreement signed at the Digital Summit of the Western Balkans held in Belgrade in April and pointed out that the first phase of the implementation of the agreement started on 1 July, and this is something concrete for the citizens.

The second big thing is that all the talks and administrative procedures regarding the establishment of the Transport Community of South-East Europe, whose headquarters will be in Belgrade, have been completed, with the remark that it is the first regional headquarters of an organisation in Serbia, whose opening is expected in September.

The third thing is a huge infrastructure success - Corridor 10, one of the most important corridors for regional connectivity.

She also pointed to another issue that Serbia has launched regionally, although not part of the Berlin Process, which is the Regional Centre of the World Economic Forum for the 4th Industrial Revolution, whose opening is expected in January.

Brnabic said that Poznan would certainly be an opportunity for talks with high representatives of other countries, as the prime ministers of Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom will take part in the summit, while the host will be the Prime Minister of Poland.

The Prime Minister said that this would be a good opportunity to talk about regional cooperation and European integration of Serbia, and at the same time a good opportunity to present what our country has done.

A meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May is particularly significant, and Brnabic expressed her satisfaction that that meeting will be held at the initiative of May, with whom she will discuss some of the issues raised in London, but also bilateral relations.
