Challenges of new industrial revolution chance for future

Brnabic, who arrived in Geneva this morning to attend the 108th International Labour Conference, said that she will also speak about problems such as the gray market and the sustainability of the pension fund, all in the context of the challenges of the Fourth industrial revolution.
The Prime Minister recalled that a delegation of the International Labour Organization (ILO) visited Serbia a few months ago and was officially invited to participate in this event.
Representatives of the ILO said that they recognise everything that we as the Government do to face the challenges of the Fourth industrial revolution with optimism, so that our country and society can be victorious, Brnabic said in a press statement in Geneva.
According to her, Serbia is one of the few countries that does not regard this as a negative challenge, but as a chance in the future.
The good thing is that Serbia has more than halved the number of the unemployed in the last five years, thanks to the 2014 reforms.
Brnabic pointed out that the youth unemployment has been also more than halved and the gap in gender equality on the market has been significantly reduced.
The things we still have to deal with are the gray market and employees who are not paid contributions for health care and social care by their employers. We have a big problem with our pension fund and its sustainability, the Prime Minister said.
She warned that, as the labour market and standards change, this issue will increasingly become one of the challenges faced by all the countries of the world, even those most developed.
The Prime Minister of Serbia will address the 108th International Labour Conference tomorrow.
