Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today during the talks with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Kang Kyung-wha that the friendly relations between the two countries are a result of a good political and economic cooperation.
Brnabic pointed out that three decades since the establishment of diplomatic relations - the jubilee that we mark this year - testifies to the high level of these relations and represents a good opportunity to strengthen the cooperation of our countries.
She added that the rapid development of the economy of the Republic of Korea, one of the largest on the Asian continent, is an example of good practice that Serbia would like to follow.
The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea assessed that Serbia has great potential for investment in the economy, but also in the IT sector, which in the Republic of Korea reaches the highest standards. According to her, this is exactly the direction which further cooperation should take.
The two officials referred to the establishment of the Serbian-Korean Access Centre in Belgrade, as an example of this cooperation.
The Prime Minister expressed her expectation that the cooperation of the two countries will be intensified at a high level, and once again expressed sorrow over the tragic accident on the Danube in Budapest, where citizens of the Republic of Korea died in a collision of two ships.
