Prime Minister Ana Brnabic today spoke with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Serbia Denis Keefe, thanking him for the successful cooperation and his personal contribution to improving relations and cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas.

The UK ambassador, who ends his term in Serbia, pointed out that Serbia has made great progress in reforming the state, which he personally witnessed in recent years.
Serbia is firmly committed to the European path and, despite major challenges, progress has been made in this regard, Ambassador Keefe pointed out.
He stressed that excellent results have been achieved in improving the investment environment and the business environment, and that continuation of reforms that would strengthen the rule of law and more effective fight against corruption and contribute to the increase of trade and foreign investments is necessary.
According to Keefe, there is a growing interest of British investors for investments in Serbia.
The officials also discussed the current situation regarding Brexit and expressed optimism that the cooperation of our countries will continue with the same intensity even after the Great Britain leaves the European Union.
The Prime Minister thanked Ambassador Keefe for the support of the government of the United Kingdom through the Good Governance Fund, which is especially significant for public administration reform, modernisation of the administration and the introduction of e-government.
The Prime Minister wished the Ambassador much success in his personal and professional life after the end of his mandate in Serbia.
