Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, who is on an official visit to Serbia, visited today the Centre for technological entrepreneurship and innovation - ICT Hub in Belgrade.
Brnabic and Bettel spoke with young engineers, the founders of the Hub, who presented the way the centre works, how it evolved, not only in Serbia, but also in Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
After visiting several rooms, the prime ministers of Serbia and Luxembourg spoke with founders Kosta Andric, Dejan Randjic and Slobodan Djinovic.
The engineers told them that they were developing a centre by bringing foreign experts to Belgrade and developing a specific "know how" that is different from the Silicon Valley, but suitable for this part of Europe.
They also discussed how the innovative eco-system in Serbia can be further developed, what the advantages and experiences of Luxembourg on this issue are and what they can do, as representatives of the private sector, and what the state can do.
The founders of ICT Hub said that until now they have not encountered obstacles from the government, but that, in order for Serbia to become the right destination for technological investments, a common strategy and effort will be needed.
The Prime Minister of Luxembourg was most interested in the projects they were working on, and he also had the opportunity to see a 3D printer on which figurines were created for him and Prime Minister Brnabic.
Bettel expressed his satisfaction with visiting the ICT Hub and invited his interlocutors to visit Luxembourg.
