At today’s press conference, Stojiljkovic said that the Ministry and the UNDP will have their stalls at the festival at which they will distribute condoms, brochures and T-shirts for the purpose of pointing out the risks of sexually transmitted diseases.
He explained that the aim is to motivate the young population to understand they should take care of their health and behave responsibly in every occasion.
UNDP representative in Serbia-Montenegro Milutin Delic said that this organisation will undertake several activities on AIDS prevention.
According to him, apart from an advisory centre on HIV prevention, there will also be “condom police” that will be checking whether young people have condoms.
300 volunteers and 70 NGOs will take part in the activities, and the City Health Protection Institute in Novi Sad will organise free-of-charge HIV testing during the festival.
