Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with members of a Working group that worked on the preparation of the media strategy.
Brnabic informed members of the Working group about the latest details and steps regarding the adoption of the media strategy, which is a document that provides a framework for the future development of the overall media scene in Serbia.
The process of preparation of the media strategy has been fully inclusive and transparent and included a large number of experts, representatives of the academic community, international organisations, civil society organisations, the media and others.
During February, a public debate on the draft of this important document was conducted and more than 300 proposals, comments and suggestions were received.
During the next week, the Serbian government will publish a Report on the public debate conducted, with comments and responses to each individual remark.
The draft media strategy has been submitted to the European Commission, and after receiving the comments, the procedure of adoption will be continued, in accordance with the legal procedure.
Today's meeting was attended by representatives of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, EU Delegation to Serbia and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, who are the partners from international organisations that supported the media strategy elaboration process.
