Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with United Kingdom Trade Commissioner Andrew Mitchell on the development of economic and trade cooperation.

UK determined to develop trade relations with Serbia

Brnabic assessed that economic cooperation is good, but that it is still below realistic opportunities and that there is room for development and improvement of relations.
She stressed that in the light of Brexit, she hopes that the future trade relations of the two countries will be defined through the conclusion of a bilateral free trade agreement, while respecting mutual interests, which would be a good signal for the development of relations.
The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to the UK for supporting the development of e-government in Serbia.
Mitchell said he is very pleased that the UK, through the implementation of the Morava Corridor project, will participate in the process of building road infrastructure in Serbia.
He said that the British business community is very interested in engaging in these projects, and stressed that Britain is determined to further develop trade relations with Serbia.
