Construction of factory “Shandong Linglong” proof of excellent relations of Serbia and China

Belgrade, 29 March 2019

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said tonight that the construction of Chinese factory "Shandong Linglong" in Zrenjanin is an indicator of excellent relations between Serbia and China and a favourable business environment in our country.

Brnabic said in a statement for Radio-Television of Serbia, ahead of the official reception at the Palace of Serbia, where she is a host of company "Shandong Linglong", that this Chinese factory will be the largest in Serbia so far, with an area of 500,000 square metres.

The Prime Minister assessed that this is another result of good cooperation and mutual trust and respect between President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and President of China Xi Jinping.

She recalled that after the talks between Vucic and Xi and the signing of the Framework Agreement on Cooperation, the Serbian government declared the construction of this factory a project of national importance.

We fought for this investment, as well as for every other, we did our best, and we got the result. The result is for Zrenjanin, but also for the whole of Serbia enormous, Brnabic pointed, adding that this is an investment worth €800 million which will bring 1,200 new jobs by 2025.

She said that the construction of this factory is an indicator of excellent relations, cooperation, respect and trust between the two countries, as well as of favourable business environment in Serbia, our seriousness to further build and fight for every new job.
