VMA Principal Miodrag Jevtic told a press conference that VMA will take over a large portion of transplantation activities, with the participation of the best Serbian surgeons in this field.
Jevtic said that the move will help to reduce waiting lists at civilian hospitals that deal with the transplantation of kidneys, liver, and marrow and the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Health Insurance Fund Director Svetlana Vukajlovic said that the cooperation with VMA will enable citizens to receive medical treatment they cannot get in civilian hospital and help to reduce the costs of treatment abroad.
