Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that the platform adopted by Pristina is contrary to common sense, and that the reaction of Serbia, as until now, will be measured and responsible.
After the session of the National Security Council, convened by President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic following the adoption of the platform, Brnabic pointed out that we will be able to protect the interests of Serbia and its citizens at any moment.
It is a document against any compromise and further dialogue, it says nothing about the life of the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, not to go any further. We will continue to analyse this document, but my conclusion is that it is contrary to common sense, the Prime Minister said.
According to Brnabic, with all its actions to date against Belgrade, Pristina has systematically done everything to stop the dialogue and make compromise impossible.
She told reporters that the conclusion of the National Security Council session is that there is no doubt that the adoption of this platform is the third final blow to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
The first blow was the disregard for the Brussels agreement by Pristina. Today, 2,149 days after the agreement was signed, Pristina has done nothing and it has not implemented a single letter of that document. There is no trace of the Community of Serb Municipalities, which was the only obligation of Pristina and the spinal column of the agreement, Brnabic explained.
The second blow was the introduction of tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and Pristina’s clear message to the EU and the United States that these tariffs will not be abolished.
The third final blow is the adoption of this platform, which is contrary to common sense.
Brnabic announced that together with President Vucic and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic she will speak on Sunday with Serbian Patriarch Irinej and the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church about the situation in the province.
