Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today the presentation of the Unified Information System for Local Tax Administrations, which will enable the payment of property tax electronically by any payment card.

Brnabic expressed her expectation that this will help Serbia to make progress on the World Bank's “Doing Business” list, which later provides for new investments and jobs.
She pointed out that e-government means a fast, efficient and transparent service to citizens and businesses, and added that e-government is the most effective way to combat corruption.
Brnabic pointed out that 150,000 newborns were registered through the E-Baby service, and thanks to the E-Prescription, patients now go two to six times less often to their general practitioner.
Brnabic expressed her belief that this reform will make the life easier for the diaspora too because, as she explained, it is no longer important whether someone is in New York, Europe, Vrnjacka Banja or Belgrade, it is only important that they have the Internet to check their tax obligations and pay them.
Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Branko Ruzic pointed out that a great deal of work has been done in a short term in a quality way, all for the benefit of the citizens of Serbia.
Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali said that the Unified Information System for Local Tax Administrations is part of the tax reform, whose aim is to increase the number of services electronically and to make them more accessible to citizens and businesses.
Director of the Office for Information Technologies and E-Government Mihailo Jovanovic said that through this system, citizens and companies can obtain insight online into their tax obligations and make electronic applications.
Jovanovic added that as of today it is possible to make an electronic payment of taxes by payment cards, through integrated e-banking of Komercijalna Banka and the iPay See system. In addition, the Unified system and the E-Counter will be connected in the following days.
