Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that at the presentation of a new system for registering in the Real Estate Cadastre – eCounter that the government's goal is efficient and fast public administration, in which work is fully transparent in the service of citizens and economy.

At the Office of Notary Public Ivana Grabez, where the first results of the application of the Law on the procedure for registration in the Real Estate Cadastre were presented, Brnabic pointed out that the cadastre reform is one of the most complex ones that the government implements.
She recalled that since 1 January, all local tax administrations have been connected to the central system and that citizens and businessmen can now easily on the internet check their property tax liabilities.
Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic reminded that public notaries today are allowed to connect with the cadastre, and since last November, public enforcement agents have been linked to that institution, which increases legal security.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic pointed out that the objective of the cadastre reform is to give citizens and the economy everything they need in a fast, high-quality and digital way.
Everything we do in the cadastre reform should be aimed at making the cadastre a strong and independent state institution that will behave in a way that will overcome the economic environment and make Serbia a better place for life and investments, she said.
In the first six months of the implementation of the electronic system, citizens and the economy submitted 130,000 requests for cadastral registration, of which approximately 53,000 were made through public notaries.
The presentation was also attended by Ambassador of Great Britain in Serbia Denis Keefe and Director of the Geodetic Authority Borko Draskovic.
