Good cooperation with Great Britain in all areas

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with Ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia Denis Keefe about bilateral relations and the continuation of cooperation between the two countries after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union.

Keefe informed the Prime Minister about the current situation regarding Brexit and pointed to the activities currently being undertaken in cooperation with line ministries in the Government of Serbia so that economic cooperation and trade between the two countries would not encounter obstacles after Brexit is completed.

The two officials also discussed the harmonisation of the air transport agreement between Serbia and the United Kingdom.

The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Keefe for the support of the UK government through the Good Governance Fund, which is especially significant for the reform of the state administration, modernisation of the administration and the introduction of e-government.

She said she was particularly grateful for the British Council's 21st Century School programme to support the development of school capacities in order to enable students to gain critical thinking skills, problem solving and programming.

Brnabic said that this project is one of the most crucial for the future of our children and is an excellent example of how the connections between the two countries are strengthened through digitalization.
