Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today at the Europa building in Brussels with European Council President Donald Tusk.
Vucic said during the talks that the only way to continue dialogue on normalisation of relations is that Pristina withdraws its extremely unreasonable decisions.
He underlined that Serbia firmly supports the dialogue on the normalisation of relations with Pristina and believes that talks are the only way to resolve open issues and preserve regional stability.
However, Pristina's decision to drastically increase the tariffs by 100 percent contrary to the CEFTA agreement, then attempt at seizing the power utility system and the adoption of the law allowing for the transformation of the so-called Kosovo Security Forces into a so-called Kosovo Army, contrary to UNSC Resolution 1244, the Brussels Agreement, the Serb community in Kosovo-Metohija, but also their own legal regulations in Kosovo, prevent further talks.
Serbia is dedicated to improving regional cooperation and is committed to contributing to that goal. The precondition for successful realisation and improvement of regional cooperation is the strict observance of the agreements concluded and the frameworks of cooperation agreed by all participants in the region, the President underlined.
Tusk commended reasonable moves of Serbia in relations with Pristina.
