The Serbian government has also voiced willingness to provide financial aid and expertise for Hilandar, according to a statement from the Ministry of Culture.
The statement goes on to express concern over the fire in the monastery, since it has caused a great loss to the Serbian cultural heritage. The ministry also called on citizens and organisations to put their contributions into bank accounts opened as part of efforts to assist Hilandar.
