Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic Gebran Bassil to discuss the development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Significant potentials for enhancing cooperation with Lebanon

Brnabic expressed her gratitude for the fact that Lebanon respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and did not recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
The officials noted that there are significant potentials for improving economic cooperation through increasing the volume of trade, as well as investments, and concluded that this would be in the interest of both countries.
They estimated that there is room for strengthening cooperation in the field of energy, military cooperation, culture and education.
They also spoke about the organisation of the business forum of the two countries, as one of the ways to deepen cooperation.
Bassil underlined that his country is very interested in cooperating with Serbia in the electronic administration, IT sector, and especially in the exchange of experience and knowledge in the applied digitization of agriculture, where Serbia has achieved significant results.
