Italian, Serbian film federations sign agreement on cooperation

The Serbian Film Centre signed an agreement on cooperation with the Italian Film Federation, which will financially assist film activities in Serbia on behalf of the European Union.
The agreement envisages the expansion of the cinema network, formation of a digital database, digitalisation of classic movies and the granting of three scholarships for courses in Italian and cinematography.
In the first phase of the realisation of the project, €20,000 will be set aside for the activities of the Serbian Film Centre, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Novi Sad Cinema Club.
The agreement was signed at the 7th international festival of film societies, held from June 7 to 11 in Regio Calabria. The Serbian Film Centre was invited to attend the festival on the basis of its cooperation with the Italian Cultural Centre in Belgrade.
