Prime Minister Ana Brnabic led the central state ceremony on the occasion of marking the centenary of the liberation of Prokuplje, and unveiled the monument to the Iron Regiment, saying that Serbia today is stronger than it was yesterday and weaker than tomorrow.

At a ceremony in Prokuplje, where the government session was held, Brnabic said that it is more than honour and more than an obligation to stand in front of this monument to 1,300 dead, six and a half thousand wounded, the history.
According to her, Serbia today defends its freedom by building factories, schools, hospitals, with every born baby and a young person who has a reason to stay.

The second infantry regiment of the Serbian army, known as "Iron Regiment", participated in the wars between 1912 and 1918, and entered history by heroism, which impressed almost all allied armies and their military leaders, governments and nations.
