Important plans for development of Toplica District

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced today, after the session of the Serbian government in Prokuplje, that much more investment will be made in this part of Serbia and expressed the hope that the first phase of the construction of the Nis-Pristina-Tirana motorway, the Nis-Plocnik section, will start at the end of next year.

Brnabic pointed out that today's session of the state government in Prokuplje is a clear signal of the intention to invest much more in this city in the following period, but also in the entire Toplica District, stressing that the absolute priority is the motorway of peace Nis-Merdare-Pristina-Tirana-Durres.

The entire concept of the Toplica region will be completely changed once we have a motorway through this part of the country, the Prime Minister stressed.

Brnabic said that the second important project is the construction of an industrial zone and the government will make a decision next week to transfer 16 hectares of land to the City of Prokuplje.

After that, the ministries of economy and finance will work on setting aside RSD 490 million from the budget for equipping the industrial zone.

And then we have to bring investors and develop domestic entrepreneurship, together with the local government, Brnabic said.

She added that the government is working on moving the General Hospital from the Community Health Centre and that the first phase of development of technical documentation for the future building of 30,000 square meters has been launched.

With all of this, we will put Prokuplje on the map as a regional centre, the Prime Minister said and wished all residents of Toplica a happy Prokuplje Liberation Day.
