Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today in Geneva, where she is taking part in a meeting of the leaders of the Western Balkans entitled "Dialogue on the Western Balkans", that Serbia's interest is peace and stability in the region, as well as cooperation with all partners.

Speaking at a news conference held after the meeting organised by the World Economic Forum, Brnabic said that Serbia is primarily interested in the future, creating a region in which young people want to stay, as well as to profit from the fourth industrial revolution.
According to Brnabic, digitization is a unique opportunity not only for Serbia, but also for the region, because, as she pointed out, the winners of the fourth industrial revolution can also include those who were not the winners in previous cases.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia is the biggest country and the biggest market in the region, but that in comparative terms our country still represents a small market.
She added that no matter how much politics, the economy and society are strong and stable, if there is any instability in the region or perception of instability, that affects our country negatively.
Brnabic recalled that Serbia has passed through four difficult years of fiscal consolidation measures, that it has recorded a surplus for the third consecutive year, that it is a leader in foreign direct investments and that unemployment has been halved, adding that stability is necessary for all the benefits of fiscal consolidation to be seen.
Speaking on the issue of Kosovo-Metohija, Brnabic said that "this is the year in which we will recognise Kosovo as it is – the autonomous province of Serbia".
