Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke on the margins of the general debate of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly with US Assistant Secretary of State Wess Mitchell.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic.
Mitchell expressed US support for the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, with the expectation that the process will bring a lasting political solution.
He pointed out that the United States is open to discuss, with its EU partners, a proposal for a solution that Belgrade and Pristina reach.
The two countries’ officials also discussed possibilities for further improvement of bilateral political dialogue and cooperation in the field of economy, investment, defence and education.
