Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today at a public lecture of an IT class at the "Patriarch Pavle" high school in Belgrade that 44 such classes have been formed this year, which is five times more than last year.

During the lecture attended by Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic, Brnabic said that this big step forward is first of all the result of the Government's campaign aimed at motivating as many children as possible to enrol in IT classes.
The Prime Minister underlined that the state is working on the modernisation of education and on encouraging logical thinking among young people instead of learning facts by heart.
Young people and their wit have been and will be our biggest brand in the world. They will be the bearers of modernisation of Serbia because I see our country as an IT leader in Europe, Brnabic pointed out.
Sarcevic said that the project of IT classes is being implemented successfully, that the entrance exams, as well as today's first lecture on the significance of this initiative, went without problems for students.
