Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that poverty reduction, better education, a healthy environment, economic growth and institutional strengthening are the most important goals of sustainable development.
Speaking at the opening of the sub-regional conference on the progress made in implementing the Agenda 2030, Brnabic underlined that the goals of sustainable development were designed as a guideline for those who are trying to improve the lives of people, so that the world that we will leave to future generations is better than the one we live in today.
The Serbian government is paying special attention to education, economic development and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and to measures of prevention and adaptation to climate change, the Prime Minister added.
She said that a precondition for building a modern Serbia is a modern economy and that after the period of fiscal consolidation, the state will continue with economic reforms. She highlighted that education reform is a key priority of the government.
