In a written statement to the public, Brnabic underlined that, nevertheless, unlimited patience is needed to understand certain representatives of the international community who, in a deafening silence, watch how Pristina has not lifted a finger to fulfil the Brussels agreement for more than five years, how it violates agreements on visits of officials, how it arrests and terrorises Serbia’s head of the negotiation team, is putting enormous pressure on the Serbian list that these people put up with bravely for the sake of dialogue and compromise, for the sake of a sustainable peace in Kosovo-Metohija, and now they threaten the President of the Republic Serbia with the same terror that they exerted over Marko Djuric.
Aleksandar Vucic is a man who has done more to build good relations between Serbs and Albanians than any politician on either side, certainly in the last hundred years: from inviting Edi Rama to visit Serbia, who is the first Albanian prime minister to have visited Serbia in 68 years, through a business forum in Nis when we opened the way for economic cooperation, to the launching of an internal dialogue in Serbia about the possibility of compromise over Kosovo-Metohija, she said.
Unfortunately, it is known that patience is not one of the qualities of our people, but our President obviously has huge and limitless patience, only and exclusively for the sake of peace, stability and prosperity of all citizens of all nationalities in this region, the Prime Minister emphasized.
Still, as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, I am asking first of all the international community not to put our patience and tolerance to the test anymore, but to understand the seriousness of the situation and act accordingly, Brnabic stated.
