The progress in the project "Family friend", which is being realised in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) was also discussed.
Minister without Portfolio in charge of population policy Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, who is also Deputy Chairperson of the Council, pointed out that four times more grants from the state budget were allocated last year, i.e. RSD 500 million for the co-financing of a total of 30 projects submitted by 61 units of local self-government and 10 cities.
Prime Minister Brnabic underlined that the government is ready to continue its support if the need arises.
Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic informed members of the Council that there are no delays in payment of maternity benefits, and that all pregnant women received allowance for July and August.
The Council was also informed about the "Family friend" prize, initiated jointly by the Serbian government and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which will be given to companies that, along good business results, have created a family and friendly environment at work and enabled employees to reconcile work and parenting.
