Continuation of investments in Lepenski Vir, Djerdap National Park

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic visited today the archaeological site Lepenski Vir and on that occasion said that the foreign exchange inflow from tourism will reach approximately €1.3 billion and that we will have about 3.5 million tourists.
Brnabic visited the tourist area with the representatives of the local self-government and Director of the National Park Djerdap Lazar Mitrovic, where the construction of a marina, port and a visitor centre is planned.
She pointed out that 2019 is expected to bring even more tourists, with a reminder that last year we had about 1,000 cruisers with about 130,000 tourists.
In the first six months of this year, she pointed out, we have almost 40% better results than in the same period of 2017, ie 31% more cruisers and 38% more tourists on cruisers.

Brnabic announced that the state will continue to invest in the development of Lepenski Vir and National Park Djerdap, as well as in the development of tourism in all of Serbia.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the Municipality of Majdanpek, to which Lepenski Vir belongs, has huge potentials for the development of mining and tourism, and that the state will help Majdanpek to use them.
She expressed expectation that RTB Bor, which includes Majdanpek Copper Mining, will have even more employees with the arrival of a strategic partner, and that in that part of Serbia will be even more tourists.
It is also important that we have more hotels and invest in local roads, Brnabic said.
