Brnabic pointed out that cooperation in the field of the economy and on joint projects is moving in a good direction, but that there is a significantly greater potential that should be used through joint efforts and engagement.
She particularly highlighted the results of the company "Rio Tinto" in the development of mining projects, primarily the "Jadar" project, which is significant both for local development and for the entire economy of Serbia.
Feeney assessed that by implementing reforms and modernising the state, Serbia is sending positive signals to foreign investors and expressed the expectation that these positive changes will also bring more Australian companies onto the Serbian market.
The interlocutors estimated that the economy and the culture are the areas that should be given more attention in the future, and pointed to the importance of a more intensive political dialogue at the high level.
Brnabic thanked Ambassador Feeney for her contribution to the promotion of bilateral cooperation during her term in office in Serbia, wishing her great success in the future on the professional and personal level.
