Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today in Raca the setting up of a cornerstone for the construction of a facility for the collection and sale of honey of the Union of Beekeeping Organisations of Serbia "Our Honey", and on this occasion said that beekeepers can be an example for all other farmers in the fight for the domestic agriculture.
Brnabic said that about €1 million will be invested in the new honey production plant, and announced the state's support to the business.
She explained that in the new facility in Raca, which should be completed within 150 days since the beginning of construction works, honey from all over Serbia will be collected. The Prime Minister added that beekeeping is one of the branches that can pull Serbia forward.
“Our Honey” preserves the beekeeping tradition of Serbia which is over 120 years old, it gathers all beekeeping organisations and 10,000 beekeepers throughout the country.
According to Brnabic, all farmers can learn from beekeepers who have shown that, when they join together and fight together, they can resist all those who blackmail them.
