Progress in economic development of Kragujevac, attracting investments

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic pointed out today that, during a visit to the factory "FPM Agromehanika" in Boljevac, to the major steps that this part of Serbia has made on economic development and attracting investments and expressed the belief that "Fiat" will remain in Kragujevac.

Brnabic expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in Kragujevac and its economic development, adding that soon this city will be in need of new workforce.

The Prime Minister announced that she will soon hold talks with Fiat's representatives, saying that everything indicates that the company will remain in business in our country.

We have all the indications that "Fiat" will remain in Serbia. We hope that we will soon see their investment plans, Brnabic underlined.

The Prime Minister said she wants to hear what their investment decisions are exactly, and added that she is much less concerned about the workers of "Fiat" in Kragujevac than a year ago when they were on strike.

Asked whether the contract with "Fiat" will be extended, as she points out this year, she stated that the Serbian government is ready for further talks, but wants to see first what the company will offer.

We want to see what their offer is to workers and the state. We expect it to be in the best interest of the workers and the state, the Prime Minister said.

The company "FPM Agromehanika" cooperates with the Indian company "Sonalika", whose tractors of the brand "Solis" are being installed in Boljevac.
