Brnabic told reporters after the opening of the laboratory and the visit to several companies operating within the Science Park that €65 million will be invested in infrastructure for the IT sector in the next three years.
If there is a place in Serbia that reflects our potential and how Serbia should look in the future, this is the place, said the Prime Minister, and announced that she will be working in the future on turning ideas and fantastic inventions from this park into production.
Germann stated that today in the Science Park in Belgrade he saw that ideas do turn into reality.
Innovation, he pointed out, is the most significant model for success of the economy, and Switzerland, which has donated 1.2 million Swiss francs to Belgrade, will continue to support Serbia in the development of the IT sector, which is becoming the most developed sector with a growth of 21 percent in 2017.
Director of the Belgrade Science Park Gordana Danilovic Grkovic pointed out that the needs of the IT sector are growing and that it is therefore necessary to raise the quality of services.
As a result of three years of work, the companies that operate in this park generated €29 million of exports, and the park last year had €17 million in revenues, of which €8 million came from exports, she added.
