Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today at the opening of a new Somat factory of “Henkel Serbia” in Krusevac, in which €20 million has been invested, that this is a very important investment for the Serbian economy as it will enable the employment of 50 new workers.
Brnabic cut the ribbon together with Ambassador of Germany in Serbia Axel Dittmann and Director of the “Henkel Serbia” factory in Krusevac Dusan Antonijevic.
The Prime Minister thanked the management of "Henkel" on fantastic conditions for our workers and for employing around 400 people in Serbia.
"Henkel" opens new jobs, but also brings new technology and know-how, which will determine competitiveness tomorrow. I hope that with this production plant you enter among the top ten exporters from Serbia and thus raise the competitiveness of our country, the Prime Minister said.
She noted that Krusevac has became one of the examples of local self-governments that are a favourable environment for business, both for foreign and domestic companies.
Dittmann pointed out that he sees “Henkel” as a symbol of the ever-intensifying economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany.
He said that in Serbia there are about 400 German companies, which employ 44,000 workers, and since 2000 Germany has invested €2 billion in Serbia.
