Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with newly-appointed Canadian Ambassador to Serbia Kathleen Csaba about the positive dynamics in bilateral relations, achieved through the renewal of political dialogue in recent years, and through good economic cooperation.
Brnabic said that she is very satisfied with the presence of a large number of Canadian companies in Serbia, which speaks of a good economic environment, but also the intention of the Serbian government to provide even better conditions for doing business.
Canadian companies have so far invested most in the mining and energy, but according to Ambassador Csaba, their focus is shifting towards agriculture, IT technology, scientific-technological innovations, digitisation, culture and film.
Canada sees Serbia as a pillar of stability in the Western Balkans and recognises the efforts that Serbia is taking to solve the inherited problems and achieve regional reconciliation.
