Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today the beginning of the second phase of the project "Baby, Welcome to this World", which is part of the strategy for development of the electronic administration and of the “Stop Red Tape” project, which are among the priorities of the Serbian government.
Parents of newborn babies in Belgrade will be able to apply straight from the maternity ward for parental supplement electronically as of today, as well as for local cash benefits to the mothers provided by the City of Belgrade.
The new functionality of the information system "Baby, Welcome to this World" was presented at the “Narodni Front” obstetrics and gynaecology clinic today.
This system allows for the child to be registered in the birth register, register of residence and health insurance by electronic means - without going to the counters of various state institutions.
On this occasion, Brnabic pointed out that simpler and improved procedures enable the state to be an efficient service, not a burden to citizens and the economy.
She added that this is an efficient, simple and free service that is intended for parents of newborn babies, for whom time is especially important.
