Introducing best solutions in new equality act

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that a new gender equality act will be adopted as an umbrella document in this area, saying it is important to avoid some of the provisions of this document to be overregulated.
After a meeting with Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic and members of the Association of Business Women of Serbia, Brnabic recalled that the comments received fit into the existing draft, which will be sent to the European Commission for approval.
The Prime Minister assessed that in terms of gender equality we have a good legal framework, so that the new act will only be an improvement.
She said that she also wanted to hear the opinion of the economy and to make sure that there would not be major financial and administrative charges.
According to her, in the new legal act there are solutions that are good and popular, but whose applicability is debatable, since it is not defined who monitors their implementation.
