Following the visit to the company for the production of copper fittings “Kepo d.o.o”, Brnabic underlined that local economic development must be based on support to family businesses because we cannot expect that a big investor comes to every municipality in Serbia.
During her visit to Kosjeric, the Prime Minister spoke with the leadership of this third most indebted municipality in Serbia.
During the visit to the Copper Mill in Sevojno, Brnabic pointed out that the Serbian economy should be based on local economic development and the local economy, although it will not give up on bringing foreign investors.
As she recalled, in 2017, Serbia was an absolute leader in this part of Europe with €2.6 billion in foreign direct investments.
Nevertheless, we must rely more on the local economy. Uzice is a good example for this with the dynamic economy and the companies "Prvi Partizan", "Imopl Seval" and its Copper Mill, she pointed out.
The government will support such companies together with the Ministry of Economy, Brnabic underlined, adding that one of the government's priorities is the development of military industry and exports.
