Brnabic emphasised that the further improvement of bilateral cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany is of particular importance for Serbia.
Serbia, as she underlined, is grateful to Germany for helping and supporting the process of European integration, because membership in the European Union is a key foreign policy goal of our country.
The Prime Minister discussed with Merk current political issues in Serbia and the Western Balkans region, stressing that Serbia insists on the full implementation of the already agreed deals within the framework of the Brussels dialogue, primarily on the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, to which Pristina has committed itself.
She said that Serbia is committed to the stability of the Western Balkan region and that it will continue to work on improving regional cooperation and stability as a reliable, responsible and predictable partner.
The economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany, which has invested more than €1.4 billion in Serbia, was particularly discussed, as more than 370 German companies in Serbia employ approximately 35 thousand employees.
Brnabic and Merk also discussed the continuation of Bavarian dual education support in Serbia.
The Prime Minister noted that our country pays special attention to further strengthening cooperation with the German federal provinces, as this is the greatest potential for improving relations.
