EU enlargement investment in security, prosperity of Europe

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with President of American think-thank Council on Foreign Relations Richard Haass about Serbia's membership in the European Union and the situation in the Western Balkans region.
Brnabic stressed that she expects Serbia and the region to be able to overcome obstacles and to invest joint efforts to ensure the political and economic stability of the Western Balkans.
She stressed that the goal and challenge of all the governments of the region is to ensure a better life, security and prosperity of all its citizens.
The Prime Minister reiterated that a consistent enlargement policy represents a strategic investment in the security and prosperity of all of Europe while at the same time contributing to stability in the Balkans.
The officials agreed that Serbia is trying to preserve regional stability, the fight against terrorism, radicalism and extremism, has proved to be a reliable partner to the European Union.
