Brnabic, in the author text for the Bizlife magazine, pointed out that the responsibility for managing economic policy led by her predecessor, and now the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, gave a strong incentive to the government she is now leading.
She added that the continuation of the initiated reforms was at the same time a great obligation, adding that the aim of these reforms was to bring our country closer to the world's leading economies, both by order and by standard.
Now, at the beginning of 2018, she said, the government has two priorities – digitization and education, with the assessment that the construction of the 21st century economy is based on innovation and knowledge.
This is supported by the research of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, which confirms that the best results have been achieved in the area of reducing the budget deficit, the efficiency of building permits and eGovernment reforms, the prime minister underlined.
According to Brnabic, this is claimed by 200 companies of the American Chamber of Commerce, which employ more than 100,000 people, who have invested more than €14 billion in Serbia so far.
Brnabic noted that this is precisely why one of the goals of the Serbian Government is reform and modernization of the state administration, with the establishment of eGovernment in full capacity.
She explained that e-government means better and more efficient services for both citizens and the economy, greater transparency in the conduct of public affairs and is an important mechanism in the fight against corruption and reducing bureaucracy.
