Zelezara Smederevo records better results

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with President of "HBIS Group" Yu Yong, who informed her about the operations of Zelezara Smederevo this year and plans for the next one, pointing out that the revenues of $750 million are much higher than last year’s.
Yong said that 1.5 million tons of steel was produced in Zelezara Smederevo this year, announcing the production of 1.8 tons of steel and revenues of $1 billion next year.
Yong informed Brnabic that the plans for the investments in Zelezara were fulfilled, especially in the area of infrastructure, rehabilitation and environmental protection, and stressed that they will continue to work continuously on improving working conditions and working environment and employee training.
The officials also discussed the development of the Serbian-Chinese industrial park, conceived as a joint venture, which will enable the arrival of a growing number of Chinese investors in Serbia.
Brnabic congratulated representatives of the "HBIS Group" on the achieved results, and stressed that the government of Serbia will continue to provide all necessary assistance to its line ministries in order to continue to achieve good results in Zelezara Smederevo.
